On 4 May 2022, two-year old Sandgroper suffered a fractured left ulna and wrist at Cannington, it was his ninth race and he was killed.

In 2023 (in poor taste), Racing and Wagering WA called their inaugural slot race, the Sandgroper.

This race is being held again at Cannington racetrack on Thursday 18 April 2024 – please join us outside in peaceful protest to remember Sandgroper.

So many of us are overwhelmed with the amount of injuries and suffering of greyhounds involved in the sport of racing.

The only way to bring awareness to our politicians is to take a stand against it.

The greyhounds need advocates. Our politicians need to know we don’t want this to continue.

If you have ever felt saddened or incensed about racing, now is the time you can share those feelings at this peaceful protest.

This protest is being held under permit in place from the West Australian Police.

We need you to help us end racing, the greyhounds need you.
